Preliminary Task. Mock up Magazine

To make my preliminary magazine I used photoshop. Which helped me manipulate my original image to what I wanted it to look like. I cropped the picture using the wand tool, however i didn't place it on a transparent background so i had to open my image in a new file. I then placed the picture into Adobe Illustrator which then allowed me to place the subheading for my magazine. Using Adobe photoshop I edited the title of my magazine 'Bishop Weekly' with stars on the background using the 'paint brush'. I learnt how to create a shadow on text using the 'drop shadow' tool. I also learnt how to create a 'pattern overlay' on text, so i used a red noisy pattern. I then saved this in a separate file and placed it into illustrator. I also learnt how to change the colour of my background using the 'rectangle tool'. The rest of the subheadings we're not so hard to do; I just clicked on the 'text tool' button and entered the headings.
